John —
This week, Republicans in the Georgia Senate pushed through another bill attacking our right to vote.
Their bill would end no-excuse absentee voting — eliminating vote-by-mail as an option for most Georgians, and this is just days after Republicans in the Georgia House passed a bill to cut Sunday voting hours during early voting.
Rolling back Sunday voting hours is a direct attack on faith communities.
For Black churches, "Souls to the Polls" are a centerpiece of their organizing work. It’s been central to building power for Black communities, and now Republicans are blatantly trying to silence us.
We must urgently fight back against all of the voter suppression efforts coming from the GOP.
These bills are an attempt to take our state back to the Jim Crow era and silence Black and Brown voters. Thank you for helping us fight back.
