This is an important and historic moment for our country.
Just hours ago President Joe Biden signed the American Rescue Plan, a giant and comprehensive package to get our country back on track and lift up those most seriously impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
The American Rescue Plan provides billions to speed up vaccine deployment, continue testing to address possible new COVID variants, and open up our schools safely. It will extend expanded unemployment benefits, provide $1,400 stimulus checks to qualifying Americans, and deliver real relief to help state and local governments keep essential services running. It also includes a major expansion of the child tax credit which will dramatically cut child poverty in our country by as much as 50% this year.
This is one of the biggest and boldest pieces of legislation passed by Congress in a generation.
And it would not have been possible without the support of millions of Americans across the country who came together to send Joe Biden to the White House and flip the U.S. Senate blue.
Not a single Republican in either the House or Senate voted for this relief package.
Instead, the GOP is engaged in a legislative assault on voting rights in 43 states across our country — potentially the most sweeping contraction of ballot access since the end of Reconstruction.
If we want to build on today’s historic accomplishment, we can’t count on Republican votes; we must protect and expand our majority in the U.S. Senate.
Our grassroots movement is more important than ever. We need to go all-out to protect our Senate majority in 2022 so we can continue making progress for the American people. Can you chip in $10 today to support this work?

This is an important day. This package will address our public health crisis, change lives, and boost our economy.
Thank you for being a part of this,
Chris
