Today, I am proud of my fellow Democrats for rising to this moment of great challenge to pass the
American Rescue Plan.
This comprehensive relief bill includes direct payments of $1,400, significant funding to increase vaccine distribution, money to reopen schools and help students who have fallen behind, extended unemployment insurance, help to keep renters and homeowners in their homes, and increased subsidies to help more folks afford health insurance.
It also includes a historic monthly child allowance that is expected to cut child poverty in half!
That’s why it’s so unAmerican that Republicans fought the American Rescue Plan every step of the way. And we know the misinformation campaign in the right-wing media will begin immediately.
Pitch in here to help me ensure that everyone knows that this critical relief bill was passed over the fervent objections of an extreme and unpatriotic Republican Party!
