There is no doubt that denying the legitimacy of a free and fair election poses an existential threat to democracy.
In the wake of the assault on our nation's capital and attempts to overturn the results of the election, more than four dozen corporate donors have suspended contributions to Senators and Representatives who voted against certifying the Electoral College vote.
However, too many of my colleagues in Congress are in denial of an equally concerning threat to our country -- climate change. They reject the scientific consensus that human activity (mainly burning fossil fuels) is causing a climate crisis and stand in the way of federal action.
