[1]Women's March

John,

I'm emailing because, as a Women's Marcher and an integral member of this
movement, you really need to see this statistic:

According to a report by the Women's Philanthropy Institute, only about
1.6% of total charitable giving in the U.S. goes towards nonprofits like
ours focused on women’s issues.

When I saw this number, my jaw dropped a little bit. That's a staggeringly
low percentage going to organizations like Women's March who are working
to build our feminist future — and it's past time for that number to rise.
If the last four years have taught us anything, it’s that women count on
women in tough times; and in order to support women, we need to dedicate
the resources necessary to protect reproductive freedom, fight for
equal-pay, hold sexual abusers accountable, end domestic violence, and so
much more. That's why I'm asking you personally:

[ [link removed] ]In honor of Women's History Month, will you donate $3 to
Women's March right now? Every contribution gets immediately put to work
funding our organizing, training, and advocacy efforts to build the future
that women deserve.

While we may not have huge foundations underwriting our programs, we do
have one really powerful way to spread our message, build woman to woman
organizing power, and advocate for women's progress:

We've got you, John.

To fund our programs, marches, and mobilizations Women's March relies
overwhelmingly on grassroots supporters like you. Our average donation is
just $17.97, and 74% of our total support last year came from grassroots
donors.

Those are numbers I'm incredibly proud of. Together in 2021, we're
fighting for COVID relief, advocating for voting rights and racial
justice, and building our organizing power, and we're just getting
started. We've seen this movement come together and achieve incredible
things just $5, $10, and $15 dollars at a time — after all, this team
helped win back the Senate AND the White House. We can continue our
crucial work if enough members of this team chip in to renew their support

[ [link removed] ]Chip in $3 in honor of Women's History Month to help
power our most urgent priorities, programs, and future marches. Even a
modest donation goes a long way, especially as we focus our efforts on
advocating for women's top priorities in the Biden-Harris Administration's
first 100 days.

Thank you for all that you do,

Rachel
