John —
Reading and writing have been powerful tools for many people who were wrongly convicted; Yusef Salaam, an Innocence Project board member and one of the Exonerated Five, agrees.
Yusef, with Ibi Zoboi, recently co-authored Punching the Air, a young adult novel about a wrongly convicted teen.
Next week, both Yusef and Ibi will join Nigel Quiroz, the Innocence Project's field organizer, for a live discussion on Facebook about the book and how to get involved in youth advocacy against wrongful conviction. You don’t want to miss it.
RSVP right now to join us live on Thursday, March 18 at 11:30 a.m. ET for a conversation with Yusef and Ibi about how they’re using their voices to prevent the wrongful conviction of youth. ([link removed])
