[ [link removed] ]Ayanna Pressley

Our campaign has always relied on the grassroots support of people like
you contributing whatever you can, whenever you can because you believe in
Ayanna’s vision for transformative justice and equity for all.

We’re coming up on our first quarterly deadline of the year, and we
figured now is as good a time as any to let you know exactly what you are
funding when you support our campaign.

[ [link removed] ]This is going to be long, so if you’re short on time you can make your first $3 contribution here.

Here is what Ayanna has been working on so far this year:

* Ending qualified immunity: Ayanna has been leading the push for major
policing reform in Congress. For far too long, law enforcement
officers have been shielded from accountability while countless
families, robbed of their loved ones, have been denied justice.
Together with Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey, Ayanna
introduced a bill to fully end qualified immunity.

* Expanding voting rights: Early last week, Ayanna introduced an
amendment to lower the voting age to 16. Young organizers and
activists have fought for our democracy and deserve to have a voice at
the ballot box.

* Enacting a Federal Job Guarantee: Ayanna introduced a resolution to
advance racial, economic, and environmental justice through a federal
job guarantee program that would provide a good job to anyone who
wants one. Federal jobs through the program would pay at least $15 an
hour, and offer benefits like health insurance and paid sick leave.
The program would supplement our country’s current social safety net
and unemployment insurance, and help us address critical needs in our
communities.

* Expanding paid leave for essential workers: Ayanna joined
Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro in leading the effort in the House to
expand the emergency paid leave policy to include the 106 million
workers — mostly women, low-wage, and essential workers — not
currently covered by the policy. The bill, included in the COVID-19
relief package, would grant 15 weeks of paid leave to federal
employees.

It
means so much to us that our movement is funded by folx like you — the
very people Ayanna fights for in Congress every day.

[ [link removed] ]If you can, your first
$3 contribution would go a long way towards
ensuring we have the resources to help Ayanna keep fighting for bold,
progressive policies that elevate our voices and expand equity and justice
for all.

Thank you for being such a key part of The A-Team.
