We’ve come a long way, friend.
With just three weeks left before Election Day, I’ve been thinking a lot about the work we’ve done together over these last four years – and the hard work still ahead of us.
In 2015 we set out to put people first, and to stand up for workers, families, and a strong middle class. And together, that’s exactly what we’ve done. Since then, Canadians have created more than one million new jobs, taxes are lower for 9 million middle class Canadians, 9 out of 10 families are getting more money with the Canada Child Benefit, and more than 900,000 Canadians have been lifted out of poverty.
And when it came time to move forward with new NAFTA negotiations, our Liberal government fought tooth and nail to protect Canadian jobs. We stood up to Donald Trump when the Conservatives wanted to back down, and told us to take any deal we could get.
But we know that capitulation is not a negotiating strategy, and we won’t ever back down when it comes to standing up for Canadian workers, middle class jobs, and a better future for all Canadians.
Yesterday Justin Trudeau released our fully-costed platform – a plan to Choose Forward that puts you and your family first. It’s the next step in our work together to stand up for a stronger middle class, a growing economy, and a healthier environment for our children and grandchildren – and it’s your hope and hard work that will make it all possible.
With Election Day only 22 days away, we need your help now more than ever to ensure we can keep moving forward – and to reach our last quarterly deadline for grassroots fundraising before Canadians head to the polls.
13,816 Canadians have already chipped in to ensure we Choose Forward on October 21. Can I count on you to join us, friend?
Chip in now to support the 2019 Re-election Fund, and help Justin Trudeau and the Liberal team earn another mandate in this important election.
