John,
It has been a busy couple of weeks on Capitol Hill. Firstly, I am pleased to have rejoined the House Agriculture Committee. I can now have a greater impact while continuing to address agriculture related concerns in Georgia by marrying my new role with my role as Chairman of the Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee.
I am also proud to have cast my vote in favor of the American Rescue Plan Act. Relief has been a top priority for Americans across the country. This historic package will have a direct impact on the lives of Georgians like you.
For the past year, our country has been faced with two crises: a health crisis and an economic crisis. Our nation has been devastated by the closing of businesses, the hardships of unemployment, and the heartbreak of members of our communities losing their battles with COVID-19.
The American Rescue Plan Act will combat the virus, return children safely to the classroom, get vaccines to people, put dollars into families’ pockets and put Americans back to work.
As the Representative of the 2nd Congressional District of Georgia, I know this will become one of the most important votes of my career. Nothing is more important than providing relief to struggling Americans and getting our nation and Georgia back on track.
If you’d like to donate to my campaign to ensure I can continue to cast historic votes, click this link and contribute today →
Sincerely,
Sanford Bishop
