This year's Sexual Assault Awareness Month campaign -- We Can Build Safe Online Spaces -- is all about bringing attention to online sexual harassment and abuse and learning ways we can prevent it. You can get involved by hosting an online SAAM event to raise awareness in your community this April.

Connecting with your community online during SAAM is easier than ever this year with template events. Choose from three engaging and educational events that are simple to create and host: a Virtual Scavenger Hunt, an Online Consent and Boundaries Workshop, or a Self-Care Session. Events are scripted for hosts with step-by-step instructions and suggested resources and tips for moderation.

Get started by learning about the different types of events to find the right one for your community.

Once you create your event, you will receive a shareable registration page link and you'll be able to connect directly with attendees. Your event will be automatically listed in the national SAAM event list and promoted to potential attendees who are local to you.

This makes each event an opportunity to connect with new local supporters and build an audience you can continue to engage beyond April.

Ahead of your event, explore the campaign content on ways we can prevent online sexual harassment and abuse and other ways that you can get involved in the We Can Build Safe Online Spaces campaign. We hope that hosting these events is useful in starting conversations about ways we can all create safer and more inclusive spaces online.
