The House of Representatives just passed a bill that requires a background check for almost every firearm sale. 🎉 Remember last year when we told you that making your voice heard during election season could save lives? This is what we were talking about. We knew this would pass the House, in fact, many of you helped us get it introduced and passed in the last Congress. 

Now, the fight to save lives continues in the Senate. We NEED this bill to pass -- and that means pushing all of those Senators who are friendly with the NRA and other gun lobbies to put people’s lives over personal interests and profits. We can achieve this, but only if we do it together. Young people can’t keep waiting for change.

We’ve been here before. The last time we had a chance at universal background checks, Mitch McConnell refused to even bring it to a vote. We’ll need your help to put pressure on them soon, and will follow up with actions to take when they’ll have the most influence. But in the meantime, can you donate a few dollars to help us keep the momentum going? If everyone on our email list donates just $25, we’ll be able to mobilize thousands of young people nationwide in support of this and other lifesaving measures:
