Right now, we are gearing up for a tough election. Hala’s busy jumping between Zoom calls, speaking to voters across the state, and balancing her work as Chief Deputy Whip in the Virginia House of Delegates (like expanding Medicaid access to 400,000 Virginians — no big deal, right? ). So, to say Hala is busy right now would be an understatement.

But that’s just who she is. As someone who knows what it’s like to struggle to make ends meet, Hala has dedicated her life to ensuring people are treated fairly and getting working families the support they need.
