Today, universal background checks passed the House! Now it’ll move to the Senate where we’ll need your help to finish the job. That’s why we’re asking you to pick up your phone and dial 202-350-9061, or text UNIVERSAL to 34131 to get connected with your Senators.

We did it. Moments ago, the House of Representatives passed universal checks again. That feels good to say.
We made history in 2019 when this bill passed the first time, and we are making history again today as we assert again that background checks save lives and must become the law of the land.
But make no mistake about it, we’re only halfway home. The Senate is next and we need your help immediately to urge them to hold a debate and vote on this bill. And once again, that starts with making your voice heard:

The more calls their Senate offices get, the more inclined they will be to do the right thing and pass universal background checks.
It only takes a minute or two, and when you call, you’ll hear a message from us first with some general information. While you’re on the phone keep these three things in mind: be polite, keep it short, and tell your Senator to vote YES on universal background checks.
