FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 11, 2021 FOR MORE INFORMATION, CONTACT [email protected] Claremont Institute welcomes Doug Bechler as senior vice president and chief development officer Claremont, CA, March 11, 2021—The Claremont Institute is pleased to announce the hiring of Doug Bechler as Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer. Doug Bechler joins Claremont after serving for five years as a Vice President for Business Development for American Private Radio, supporting the efforts of the “Our American Stories” series. He spent seven years at the Hoover Institution as a Sr. Executive in Development leading an initiative to create a national platform for the institution, holding policy briefings in multiple cities throughout the country. Previous leadership roles include serving as a Director of Development at the University of Michigan and ten years at World Vision, where Mr. Bechler served as a Sr. Director of Development, traveling to fifty countries during his tenure. “We are thrilled to welcome Doug to the Claremont family,” said Ryan Williams, president of the Claremont Institute. “His many years of experience and record of success across the non-profit world will bring valuable new assets to Claremont’s leadership team, helping us continue to defend the American idea and the American way of life.” The Claremont Institute’s recent inauguration of its Washington, DC-based Center for the American Way of Life, and soon-to-be-announced expansion of its fellowship programs, along with exciting new initiatives from its Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, The American Mind, and Claremont Review of Books, are just a few examples of what the organization has in store for the coming years.
