I’m reaching out to you for the first time this year because the gun safety movement is making history.

Legislation for universal background checks was just reintroduced in both the House and Senate.

I’ve watched for six years as Mitch McConnell has left commonsense gun reforms to rot in his infamous legislative graveyard—even though we lose 40,000 Americans every year to gun violence.

Democrats in Congress have afforded us the rare chance to save thousands of lives.

But I won’t sugarcoat this: Our Majority is slim.

Many Congressional Republicans continue to obstruct these lifesaving measures—so it’s time to vote them out and expand our gun safety Majority.

That’s why I’m humbly reaching out to you for the first time this year.

I’m working with my friends at the DCCC to raise $50,000 before midnight. If you’ve been waiting to give this year, now’s the most important time.
