On 24 September, on the margins of the UN General-Assembly, UN Women hosted an interactive data lab to showcase the new Women Count Data Hub, the first of its kind to provide public access to gender data that can be used to monitor progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Global leaders gathered in New York for the UN General Assembly announced on 23 September concrete commitments to address climate change, at the UN Secretary-General’s Climate Action Summit. Among the commitments, there was a gender-specific initiative through which governments commit to clear action points to promote gender equality in the context of climate action.
