We weren't surprised to see this headline, friend:

Salon: "New round of GOP gerrymandering in Southern states could be the most racist yet"

The South has long been a hotbed of racist gerrymandering and voter suppression laws. But according to Salon, as a result of recent Supreme Court decisions, the maps Republicans draw in 2021 could be "historically unfair."

NOT ON OUR WATCH. The NDRC is working in six southern states in addition to other states around the country to stop the GOP from manipulating the maps to silence the voices of communities of color -- but we need your help to do the most in all of them. Can you pitch in now?

Battleground southern states : VA, NC, GA, FL, LA, TX

The South is home to 55 percent of the Black American population in the U.S., and we're not going to sit back while Republicans work to keep them out of the political process. Please chip in if you can to help us build a democracy where everyone is heard.
