Dear John,

I have to admit: I’m extremely excited about this. And I think you will be, too.

Next Saturday evening, March 6, ISI is hosting a major debate on the future of conservatism ([link removed]) . And you can watch it live online!

When I say “the future of conservatism,” I mean a substantive discussion about the ideas that should guide the American right.

This is the conversation conservatives need right now. Unfortunately, it’s not the one we’re having.

I’ll have the privilege of moderating this discussion ([link removed]) . It will feature five of the most influential voices from across the right:

* Ross Douthat, New York Times columnist
* Charles C. W. Cooke, NationalReview.com editor
* William Kristol, Weekly Standard cofounder
* Katherine Mangu-Ward, Reason editor in chief
* Daniel McCarthy, Modern Age editor

I hope you’ll join us for this desperately needed discussion ([link removed]) .

The media keep focusing on political squabbles of the moment. But conservatives have begun rethinking big questions—even what it means to be conservative.

We can’t dust off the 1980 playbook. We need to determine how best to apply our principles to the world today.

We won’t do it by preaching to our own little camps. Or by hurling insults at anyone who questions us.

Imagine it: five prominent thinkers—representing a wide range of perspectives—engaging one another on the big ideas that should guide conservatives.

That’s exactly what you’ll get next Saturday, March 6, at 7:30 p.m. ET ([link removed]) .

Spots are limited to the first 500 people who sign up, so don’t hesitate. Register now!

I’m excited to bring you a discussion that’s too rare today . . .

. . . a thoughtful conversation that gets to the very nature and definition of conservatism.

See you next Saturday!

John A. Burtka, IV
President and CEO

P.S. I don’t think you’ll find such a range of prominent conservative thinkers in one place anywhere else. So reserve your spot now for this debate ([link removed]) .
