The Equality Act would legally ERASE women from our Civil Rights laws.
Hi Friend,
URGENT: Yesterday, the House passed the dangerous, life-altering Equality Act.
The Senate is taking it up soon. So it is CRITICAL that you share your story ([link removed]) about being, raising, or watching a female athlete, so your senators know how this bill will affect female athletes.
What does this mean? By redefining “sex” to mean “gender identity,” the so-called Equality Act legally erases women from our Civil Rights laws and places laws meant to protect women and girls from discrimination and harm in legal jeopardy.
In fact, by requiring biological girls to compete with and against athletes who were born male, the bill undermines the very purpose of another antidiscrimination law, Title IX.
🚨 URGENT 🚨
Share your story RIGHT NOW about what it means to be, raise, or watch a female athlete.
Let us know how the Equality Act will affect you.

As three-time Olympic cyclist Inga Thompson said:
“When I was little, I wanted the opportunities that young boys were given in sports, only to be repeatedly told ‘no.’... Title IX was put into place to protect us – and it did. It gave us sporting opportunities that had been available only to men since the Olympic games in Greece started around the 8th century before Christ. Women’s cycling was not put into the Olympics until 1984.”
If passed by the Senate and signed by the president, the law would affect hundreds, if not thousands of laws and many facets of American life, including opportunities for female athletes, female-only schools and clubs, STEM programs for girls, and more.
Share your story and how the Equality Act would impact female athletes. ([link removed])
Thanks,
Carrie Lukas
