I need to share this with you, John: We may have gotten Donald Trump out of the White House, but now he’s stepping into a new role as a top fundraiser for House Republicans in the 2022 election cycle.
Trump and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy have begun planning a massive fundraising operation to try and defeat our Democratic Majority in 2022. If they succeed, our elections, our progress, and our democracy all will be at risk. With so much at stake, we need to make sure we’re keeping pace with the fundraising efforts Trump has just launched for House Republicans — which is why we’ve set an ambitious goal to raise $50,000 before our end-of-month deadline on Sunday.
We’ve seen the danger that Donald Trump and his loyalists pose to the principles of justice, equity, and fairness that our country has always strived for. At this moment, we need to be working to bridge the divides that Trump spent the past four years creating, NOT letting Trump-aligned Republicans gain more power and influence over our government. It’s critical that we respond to Trump’s commitment to raise money for Republicans by hitting our end-of-month goal this Sunday.
