Hi John,
For the past few months, I've been struggling to meet our fundraising needs to pay my team which has resulted in several emails to some of our top supporters. (I know you've gotten a few of those messages from me, too, because you are someone who consistently reads our emails, signs our petitions, or participates in our surveys.)
I feel guilty that my team knows our staffing budget is so low -- and that I can't guarantee that we'll have the resources to pay them through the next month, let alone the year. But if you've ever volunteered or joined us at a campaign event in the past, you know how awesome this team is. And I'm sure you can imagine how much I need them with me as I advocate on behalf of people throughout southeast Pennsylvania and across the country.
We have big fights ahead of us -- and if there's one thing I need to protect the progress we're making, it's a team like this one at my side each day who are ready to help people complete their vote-by-mail applications, keep voters engaged, and communicate our message to every voter we need to win. In fact, I'd love it if we could expand our team, but it's not quite in the budget just yet.
Right now, we're coming up on our end-of-month fundraising benchmark that includes our first payroll for March. We're about $4,450 short of our February goal now.
If we can get ahead now, it'd be a huge relief to not have to worry about how I'm going to pay my team for their hard work next month.
I can't ask my team to keep up the good fight in Pennsylvania when our budget is this low. So I'm personally asking you for your support. Will you make a contribution of $5, $10, $25, or anything you can at the link below?
