Governor Hutchinson Provides Today’s COVID-19 Update

LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson provided today's update on Arkansas's COVID-19 response.

In its Friday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 516 new cases; 4,479 active cases; 504 hospitalized, which is down 18 from Thursday; 98 on ventilators, which is down 10 from Thursday; deaths added today, 10, for a total of 5,407; a total of 318,638 cases; 244,346 recoveries; PCR tests, 6,443; antigen tests, 1,640.

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Pulaski, 75; Benton, 54; Sebastian, 28; Washington, 25; and Garland, 20.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

"As we changed our public health directives to guidance, we must remain vigilant in taking personal responsibility by wearing a mask, washing our hands, and watching our distance. This remains critical to the success of getting on the other side of this virus. We have set our goals for March 31, and let’s keep working for reduced virus cases."
