On March 24th, Oregon’s environmental community is going to make a big, virtual splash! It’s a virtual grassroots lobby day with Oregon lawmakers! Can you join us? [Sign up: secure.everyaction.com/ZxylXNOwNUqsZa8I0dcTyQ2] The OLCV/OCN Lobby Day gives you the chance to meet with your lawmakers and make a lasting impact on them; it gives you the chance to tell your story, and to urge them to make the environment a priority during the legislative session.
At the Oregon League of Conservation Voters (OLCV) and Oregon Conservation Network (OCN) lobby day, we will advocate for the top environmental priorities facing lawmakers in Salem right now: the Oregon Clean Energy Opportunity (including the bill for 100% Clean Energy), eliminating the Oregon Forest Resources Institute (the timber industry’s propaganda machine), smart wildfire legislation, and ensuring necessary funding for our natural resource agencies. We will also be a voice to stop any bad environmental bills from passing!

For the safety of all involved and to properly follow State Health guidelines, the entirety of the OLCV/OCN Lobby Day will be held virtually over Zoom. While a virtual lobby day is a first for us, we are committed to making the day as fun and rewarding as past lobby days. We promise lots of breaks throughout the day. Plus, you can participate from the comfort of your own home!
Lobby Day will begin with guest speakers in the morning followed by a quick training and legislative briefing. In the afternoon, you’ll have a chance to sit down (virtually) and talk with your lawmakers about OCN’s 2021 Priorities for a Healthy Oregon.
