Speaker Nancy Pelosi has pledged to get to the bottom of the January 6 Capitol insurrection, forming a special commission to investigate the events of the day and how they were allowed to happen.

But even though many Republicans promise to be subjects of that very investigation, having enabled Trump's incendiary rhetoric by objecting to the results of the election, they're still insisting on having an equal hand in the investigation. The GOP is demanding five seats on Pelosi's commission -- the same number as Democrats -- and trying to shoot down specific avenues of inquiry before it even begins.

We won't sit by while House Republicans try to sabotage an inquiry into an event they were largely responsible for. We need to preserve the commission's integrity RIGHT NOW -- before this nonsense gets any further. Will you help us show that the American people won't accept anything less than justice here?
