Bang Energy is now in the hard seltzer business

Bang Energy is venturing beyond the energy drink market and diving into the world of hard seltzer with their new Bang Mixx Hard Seltzer. The beverage will likely be hitting shelves at retailers sometime in 2021, although no official launch date has been announced. Bang Mixx Hard Seltzer hits many of the same stats as other hard seltzers on the market and will come in seven different flavors.

PepsiCo launching line of cocktail mixers

At-home drinking was already on the rise before COVID-19 hit, and PepsiCo is looking to meet the moment. The beverage giant is launching a line of non-alcoholic cocktail mixers under its new Neon Zebra brand. In the last year, U.S. consumers have spent $304.6 million on cocktail mixers, up 36% from the previous year. The cocktail mixers will hit shelves on Monday in four flavors: margarita, strawberry daiquiri, mojito and whiskey sour.

The first major step to transform Dixie Beer to Faubourg Brewing happened this week: the Dixie name was removed from the tower that rises over the modern facility. Brewery Manager Jim Birch said, "What this means is we're in the final countdown to the official introduction of Faubourg." Why Faubourg? It pays homage to the diverse neighborhoods of New Orleans, many of which were called faubourgs through the city's history.
