Here's why:

Our movement is larger than ever, and that's incredible. There are more progressives within the halls of Congress than at any point before, and Ed is working alongside each of them -- flexing our movement's muscles to make real change.

But the truth is, we cannot get complacent. Now that progressives have a serious voting block that can command attention, the financial and political establishment is getting nervous and trying to slow us down.

Corporate interests are making clear that they will fight to block our progressive agenda every step of the way. We're already seeing that with the fight for a $15 minimum wage. That means our only option is to grow our own power -- inside and outside of Congress.

So that's what we're going to do. Rather than shut down our political operation like a lot of senators, Ed wants to keep our small, scrappy team going. We're going to work to bring new people into our movement, support other progressives doing the work and maintain ongoing organizing efforts. This is how we win -- not once but for the long-haul.

That requires financial resources though, and that's where your $3 donation comes in. When enough of us pitch in to do our part, that's how we make meaningful change. So we need to ask:
