Friend,

As the proud sister of both a trans brother and a gender-nonconforming sibling, issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community hit close to home for me.

In Congress, I'm fighting for all of our siblings, including mine, to have equal protection under the law. That's why I'm proud to be an original co-sponsor of the Equality Act. ([link removed])

The Equality Act ensures that no one can be denied housing, health care, and other government services because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Without the protections this act provides, the power lies with the conservative majority on the Supreme Court to determine protections for LGBTQ+ Americans.

It is long past time that we ensure that all members of our community have access to opportunity, no matter who they love or how they identify.

Yesterday, in a historic vote, the House passed the Equality Act. Now it's up to the Senate to do the same. If you believe the Senate should pass the Equality Act, add your name to show there is deep grassroots support for the bill.

Thank you for taking action,

Sara
