Hi John,

According to The Washington Post, The Proud Boys, a white supremacist militia group, have been a major focus of the FBI investigation into the January 6 Capitol riot so far, “in part because of their statements in the run-up to the attack.”

Proud Boys members said that Americans must “desensitize” themselves to violence and that the “soldiers of the right wing” are at war.

They suggested that the group “kick off the [Biden] presidency with fireworks,” infiltrate his inauguration, and “turn [it] into a circus, a sign of resistance, a sign of revolution.”

That was right before telling white supremacists to “turn out in record numbers” and “invade” Washington on January 6.

Right after Trump told The Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by,” Elizabeth Warren said that “this is not the America we want to be.”

But while Canada declared the Proud Boys a terrorist organization just one month after the Capitol attack -- we have been slow to act. In fact, Republicans let the Proud Boys' enabler-in-chief walk free from a second impeachment.

We agree with Warren. Our country has to be better than this, John. Democrats have filed a lawsuit against the Proud Boys, but this hate group needs to be called what it is: a threat to our nation. Too many have stayed silent for too long -- and we need to know if you will add your voice to ours today. Please, tell us now:
Should the U.S. label the Proud Boys as a terrorist group?
