Good afternoon

Good news has been hard to come by over the last year so I wanted to take this
opportunity to let you know some exciting updates from the campaign to legalise
assisted dying.

Since this time last year 100 new MPs have been persuaded to support the campaign. Together, we are
making an impact.

You are making a difference - writing to your MP, inviting them to parliamentary meetings, coming to our
Meet Your MP webinars and having face to face meetings with them is driving the
success of the campaign. For this I say an enormous thank you.

But now is no time to sit back on our heels - we’ve built impressive momentum
and now we need to keep up the pressure. By joining as a member of Dignity in Dying today
[[link removed]] you can help to ensure that Westminser changes the law on assisted dying in
this Parliament. It’s an ambitious goal, but together we can reach it.

MPs are realising that they need to know more about the impact of the failures
of current law and that the Government needs to collect this evidence. Many are
now recognising that the law needs to change to make the law safer for dying
people and kinder to their families.

As a Dignity in Dying member,
[[link removed]] you will directly support our work in Parliament, help us to challenge our
opponents’ harmful rhetoric, and let dying people know that you stand with them
and will fight for their choice.

Thank you for everything you’ve done so far to support Dignity in Dying’s work.
I look forward to welcoming you as a new member.

Keep fighting,

Sarah Wootton
