While Democrats are working to pass desperately-needed pandemic relief in addition to a number of progressive bills that have been held up in Mitch McConnell’s legislative graveyard for years, the GOP is working overtime to block us.

You name it, House and Senate Republicans are opposed to it:

COVID-19 relief? Against it.

Voting rights? They want to make it harder to vote.

Student debt relief? That, too.

Climate action? Nope.

Getting more people healthcare? Absolutely never.

So, what are Republicans for? Nothing but themselves.

The GOP are too busy fighting over fealty to Donald Trump and scheming to take the House and Senate next year, to be doing their jobs and working with us to help the people they were elected to serve.

Even Mitch McConnell said that “of course” he would support Donald Trump if he were their nominee again — this, after McConnell said he was guilty of inciting a bloody insurrection against the Capitol and may face criminal charges for it. Of course!

While they dither, or contort themselves for this immoral former President, or make pilgrimages to Mar-a-Lago, we need to build up our resources for the fight ahead.
