Last year, a group of ex-cops — many with a VAST history of brutality, violence, and racist social media posts — founded the Protect Our Police PAC.

Their mission is pretty self-explanatory. But one of the more concerning parts is that they’re bankrolled almost exclusively by Timothy Mellon — a billionaire Trump donor and heir to a literal robber baron, who once said that Black people on food stamps are "slaves to Uncle Sam."

This group is vile, John. And they’re targeting local candidates and DAs all across the country, including Larry Krasner, to try and roll back our progress and elect “pro-police candidates" instead. We need to fight back.

Their response is proof that they’re TERRIFIED by all the wins our DAs have racked up and all the grassroots support you’ve provided.

And I like to think that the idea of facing accountability and justice for their heinous brutality toward Black people keeps them up at night.

That doesn’t mean we’re out of the woods. Our opponents are being funded and backed by some of the wealthiest, most powerful institutions in the country. So we’ll all need to rally together. I know we can do it.
