In the past, we’ve asked you to create a fundraising page, set an individual goal, and ask friends and family to donate. This year, we’re all about teamwork, so we’re trying out a crowdfunding campaign. Think of it like those Kickstarters you’ve seen, but instead of an indie movie or new tech gadget, we’re coming together to raise money to support Sierra Club’s work.
Every donation will support the work we’re doing to protect the planet, including conservation efforts in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, which just celebrated its 60th anniversary. Currently, Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is under renewed threat of oil drilling. And, as the Arctic sea ice continues to melt from rising temperatures, the Polar Bears are losing their homes and the population is growing increasingly vulnerable.
