Dear TPC Family,
On February 3, 2021, we lost all ability to process contributions made via credit card. For the past 16 years approximately 50% of the support we have received has been generated online. That has all been wiped away. The automatically recurring monthly donations upon which we base our annual budget have been eliminated. Time will tell how badly these recent events will damage TPC. It could be fatal.
I am no stranger to such attacks. Whatever hardships that have been imposed on dissident leaders in recent years were first experienced by me. For example, TPC was banned by PayPal all the way back in 2006, which was long before others were subjected to similar measures. In 2008, a TPC-sponsored conference became the first to have a legally binding contract with a hotel be arbitrarily cancelled. We have always adapted and overcome such obstacles.
Frankly, we have already been de-platformed by numerous credit card processors over the years but have always been able to quickly find an alternate vendor who would work with us before being cancelled by them, in turn, sometime later. For me it has been the business equivalent of playing a 16-year game of whack-a-mole, only this time the game appears to be over.
I would have brought this matter to your attention sooner, but I wanted to first be sure that we exhausted every possibility of restoring our ability to process online donations. At great expense and with countless hours of work invested over the course of the past month, my web team has reached out to dozens of merchant providers. I can now tell you with certainty that every company has flatly rejected us. We have been blacklisted for our refusal to stop
speaking the truth.
This is the time that some of my fellow travelers might complain about cancel culture. They’re not necessarily wrong in doing so but that isn’t my style. I enjoy a challenge. Struggle and adversity breed greatness. I have spent my entire adult life growing the audience and building the infrastructure of this radio program. It will now be put to its greatest test.
We are entering into uncharted waters. As I mentioned before, TPC has historically received nearly half of its funding online. Obviously, if half of our support is lost, we will be looking at our final months on the air. However, if our legion of supporters make ready to fight back, we can overcome those who would consider it a substantial victory to silence our voice. Don’t let them win!
Our first quarter fundraising drive begins today and it will be the most important appeal in the history of our program.
If you have ever valued the work of TPC, I need you to respond now. This is our hour of greatest need. If you are a monthly or quarterly donor, I need you to give now. If you donate intermittently, I need you to give now. If you are someone who has traditionally contributed to our work online, I need you to switch methods and remit a check or money order now.
The stakes could not be higher. We are engaged in a war of attrition and the response we receive to this urgent call will determine if we can survive our most significant battle yet. It all comes down to your response and I need all hands on deck.
Help us rally! With all sincerity, I implore everyone reading this letter to give as much as you can comfortably afford, whether that be $10, $20, $50, $100, $200, $500, $1000 or more. Anything will help and I hope that everyone can respond with something. That’s how serious this is.
The Political Cesspool Radio Program is unquestionably one of the most effective and longest-tenured organizations that our movement has ever produced. Thanks to your support, we can put the portfolio of accomplishments that we have built together over the past decade and a half up against those of any peer or contemporary.
I am proud of the alliances we’ve built, but also of the enemies that we have accumulated. As a result of our success, TPC has been publicly attacked by a diverse roster of enemies that includes (but not limited to) practically every major media outlet in the world, the United States Congress (twice), the Southern Baptist Convention, vapid celebrities, Democratic heavyweights like Hillary Clinton and even establishment conservatives like Rush Limbaugh, who just days before
his death compared me to Bull Connor during a baffling on-air commentary.
It’s us and our audience against the world. That’s the way I see it. Nothing comes easy. I have fought for every inch of advancement we’ve ever earned.
It all comes down to this. Will you stand with me?
If so, please send checks or money orders made payable to “The Political Cesspool” to the following address:

I once heard it put that victory belongs to those who believe in it the most and believe in it the longest. We’re going to believe.
Onward,
James Edwards
