John, Democrats believe in expanding voting rights, and the
Connecticut legislature is currently considering an early voting
and permanent no-excuse absentee ballots proposal.

The Connecticut Democratic Party believes that it's time for our
state to permanently implement no-excuse absentee voting and join
the 43 other states that allow early voting -- add your name here
if you agree to help us support this proposal!

An historic 636,000 Connecticut voters utilized absentee mail-in
ballots in last November's election, which helped ensure the
safety of all voters during the pandemic.

Permanently implementing early voting and no-excuse mail-in
voting would require a constitutional amendment to be approved by
the Connecticut House and Senate in a two-thirds vote, PLUS the
support of a majority of state voters through a ballot
initiative.

John, early voting lets more people vote, and that's what democracy is
about. As the Connecticut legislature debates this issue, it's
critical that every CT Democrat makes their support of expanding
voting rights heard loud and clear.
