A disturbing picture was painted in the Senate -- one created by the devastating accounts from the Capitol police who developed permanent chemical burns from protestors' military-grade gas and the horrifying tales from the US Capitol Police Chief on how he begged his superiors to send reinforcements to no avail.

One thing became perfectly clear -- despite there being reliable FBI intelligence which indicated risk of potential violence, top Pentagon officials inexplicably decided against warning key security personnel and obstructed reinforcements from aiding officers on the ground.
