John,

Drilling craters into the deep ocean floor, hiring armies of loggers to
slash ancient forests, building the world’s biggest coal mine to wipe out
the Great Barrier Reef -- this kind of destruction doesn’t come cheap.

That's why fossil fuel giants rely on big banks for cash -- and household
names like Citigroup, Bank of America, and Chase have handed them $1.9
trillion... in the last 3 years alone!

But the good news is: if we can get banks to stop this madness, the whole
fossil fuel industry will be in danger.

This is what we need to do to make it happen: hire a team of climate
specialists to expose the financial industry’s responsibility for climate
chaos, run massive public campaigns in the media, and work with
shareholders to force banks to change.

This could be a critical new chapter in the climate change battle, but we
can’t do it without your help. Will you chip in monthly to make big banks
break up with fossil fuels?

Fossil fuels are responsible for 71% of all climate change-causing
greenhouse gas emissions. And the industry keeps starting new projects,
dozens and dozens every year.

That’s why, despite everything we’ve done to fight the climate crisis…
There’s still more wildfires burning than ever before. More trees cut down
than ever before. More animals going extinct than ever before.

So now it’s very simple: if we don’t break the fossil fuel industry for
good, climate change will destroy everything. And the best way to do it is
to cut off the funding they need for their projects -- and redirect
investment to new industries that don’t depend on destroying the planet.

I know we can do this, because we’ve done it before, when we convinced
insurance giant AIG to end its support for a disastrous coal mine near the
Great Barrier Reef. But for the scale of impact we need, we’ll have to do
it again and again in the years to come. And we’ll need all the help we
can get.

Will you chip in monthly and fund this plan to make big banks break up
with fossil fuels?
