"The climate emergency is a race we are losing -- but it is a race we can win if we change our ways now." - U.N. Secretary General António Guterres
John -- a new United Nations report reveals that the effects of climate change are even more catastrophic than we realized.
Chip in before the FEC deadline to support our efforts to elect Democrats who will take immediate climate action.
These/Here are some of the dire effects of climate change laid out in a new U.N./the report:
The oceans have been consistently getting warmer for the past four decades.
Melting sea ice will create yearly extreme floods in coastal communities by 2050.
Seas could rise by more than 3 feet by 2100.
Marine heat waves that destroy fisheries could become 20-50 times more common by 2100.
Delaware, the country, the whole planet can't afford for us to wait any longer to take action. We need to replace the president, who is undermining decades of environmental progress at every turn, and we need to flip the Senate so we can advance legislation that addresses the climate crisis.
We can change our course forward if we act now. Make a contribution before the FEC deadline at midnight tomorrow.
Thank you,
TC
