*We are looking for a Directorate Support Officer to join the newly formed Directorate Support Team in Adult Social Care, to work 37h per week.The position is fixed term initially for 12 months.

* *Team Information*:
The Directorate Support Team is a small but efficient team, working to maintain essential and statutory back office functions of Adult Social Care; these include (but are not limited to) administrative support for Heads of Service and Service Managers, coordinating responses to Ombudsman / complaints and Cllr queries, financial transactions and allocations of assessments requiring authorisation.
The successful candidate should be able to work quickly and efficiently, and to required deadlines. Good communication is essential, as the role requires liaison with both citizens and other social care and health professionals on a regular basis.
*ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:*
* Demonstrable high-level administrative skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to use financial packages including Oracle and RBS.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to efficiently manage own workload, and support junior colleagues in managing theirs.
* Experience in supporting senior colleagues with correspondence, enquiry management and other administration.* *
