Love Food Hate Waste week
It’s the first Love Food Hate Waste (LFHW) Food Waste Action Week, 1 – 7 March. Did you know that in UK homes, we waste 4.5 million tonnes of edible food every year? So, Recycle for Greater Manchester (R4GM) will be sharing tips and information throughout the week to help you reduce food thrown away at home.

Wasting food feeds climate change, with wasted food accounting for more global greenhouse gas emissions than flying. Small changes to how you buy, store and use up food can reduce food waste, and the impact it has on the planet. Follow R4GM on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and visit their website here ([link removed]) to keep up to date.

You can also visit the LFHW website here ([link removed]) for more information about the week.
