Thank you for your ongoing actions to put America first!
This week, there are two separate action items.
CALL TO ACTION #1 Call your Senators and tell them you do not want them to increase spending as the budget, debt ceiling, and spending talks take center stage this week (and likely the rest of summer). The message is simple: DO NOT INCREASE SPENDING! You can call your Senators with this message whether they are Republicans or Democrats. CALL SCRIPT “Hello, my name is [YOUR NAME], and I live in [CITY], [STATE]. I am calling today to urge Senator [NAME OF ELECTED OFFICIAL] to vote against any increases in spending in any upcoming legislation, no matter if it’s included in a debt ceiling bill, or budget bills, or any legislation. Thank you.”
CALL TO ACTION #2 Call your Senators and tell them vote NO on S. 386, the Senate’s version of the House bill that, should the bill become law, it would remove the per-country caps for employment-based green cards and increase the share of family-preference green cards that each country could receive. The House version, H.R. 1044 has already passed the House. While President Trump is trying his best to put Americans first, the Democrats and some Republicans are working to undermine his efforts by increasing immigration rather than stopping illegal immigration and decreasing legal immigration. We are hearing that Intel Corporation is teaming up with some GOP lawmakers who support this to challenge Republicans that vote no in the next election. This is unacceptable! CALL SCRIPT “Hello, my name is [YOUR NAME], and I live in [CITY], [STATE]. I am calling today to urge Senator [NAME OF ELECTED OFFICIAL] to vote against S. 386 and any other attempts to increase the caps for employment-based green cards. Right now is not the time to increase caps or increase immigration. Now is the time to put Americans and America first by securing our border and tightening existing asylum loopholes that are currently being exploited. American security and workers should be the priority for every elected official in the United States. Thank you.”
