The LGBTQ+ communities need to be protected. Period.

Hate, bigotry, and ignorance have no place in our country -- that's why Jason and his colleagues in the House just passed the Equality Act. This is historic, friend.

Jason was an early voice for equality when he supported the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" in his 2012 speech at the Democratic National Convention, more than five years before he decided to run for Congress.

The Equality Act will provide LGBTQ+ people anti-discrimination protections in employment, housing, education, and much more -- it's time for the Senate to follow suit in passing this bill.
