This week, it was announced that over 500,000 Americas have died from COVIDー19: [[link removed]]

That’s 1 out of every 670 Americans.

That’s 1 out of every 295 New Yorkers.

The loss is heart breaking, but we are not alone in experiencing this grief. About a month ago, we began our COVID memorial project. Since then we have received many submissions of names, and life stories, and and heartwarming photos of those our community has lost. The project is still open and with this illness hitting our city and state so hard, we have no intention of closing up this space for grieving.

Please, if you feel so moved, share the names and stories of those we lost to the pandemic as part of our online COVID memorial so that we can celebrate their lives as a community.
