In Ohio’s 11th District, the typical white household earns more than double what the median black household brings in. These racial disparities exist across the country but are even more pronounced in Nina’s district.

People are struggling to pay rent, have enough to eat, and get good quality health care. Black folks are disproportionately experiencing these struggles. Decades upon decades of institutionalized racism and discrimination permeating every part of our society, from banking to housing to health care, have made it impossible for Black folks to get equal opportunities.

Nina Turner along with her fellow Justice Democrats understand these issues and intend to govern for equity and justice. We know real transformative change must happen to help the 99 percent in this country.
