Nina Turner in Congress.

As a state senator and national co-chair of Bernie Sanders’ 2020
presidential campaign, Nina has fought for real progressive change. She
has a strong public service record of fighting to uplift working-class
people and deliver justice. Nina will join Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and
the Squad in fighting for legislation like a Green New Deal, Medicare for
All, racial justice, and real relief for folks suffering during this
pandemic.

Nina Turner sees how this pandemic has disproportionately impacted Black
and brown folks, and women. She sees how COVID-19 has worsened
long-standing economic, social and racial inequalities. Her voice in
Congress is so desperately needed right now representing Ohio’s 11th

In Ohio’s 11th District, the typical white household earns more than
double what the median black household brings in. These racial disparities
exist across the country but are even more pronounced in Nina’s district.

People are struggling to pay rent, have enough to eat, and get good
quality health care. Black folks are disproportionately experiencing these
struggles. Decades upon decades of institutionalized racism and
discrimination permeating every part of our society, from banking to
housing to health care, have made it impossible for Black folks to get
equal opportunities.

Nina Turner along with her fellow Justice Democrats understand these
issues and intend to govern for equity and justice. We know real
transformative change must happen to help the 99 percent in this country.
