I'm about to ask you to add a critical contribution toward my re-election campaign. But I hope you'll give me a moment to first explain why I'm asking for your support.

After Democrats secured the House, Senate, and the White House, national Republicans immediately started phoning their biggest donors to fill their war chest for the midterms. And here's the thing: their fear-mongering and divisive tactics are having an impact. Even after a majority of House Republicans encouraged a deadly insurrection on the People's House, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) still outraised the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) last month.

We only have a slim majority of five, John. And historically, the party in control of the White House loses seats in the midterms -- so Democrats in the House will be at our most vulnerable. We can't afford to be falling behind on fundraising -- especially so soon.

I have no doubt national Republicans have their sights set on Pennsylvania. Several districts in the state are already on their list of top targets, meaning we have to start preparing NOW for the onslaught of attacks that are sure to come our way.
