I’m sickened but not surprised to see Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-GA) name in headlines again, John .
And the news is reprehensible: It was revealed that Greene had a direct connection to an individual involved in the violent January 6 attack on the nation’s capital.
That’s right, John, Greene’s close ally and friend, conservative livestreamer Anthony Aguero, not only participated in the attack on January 6, but can be seen in multiple videos encouraging rioters on the capitol grounds. Meanwhile, Greene has shared conspiracy theories on the internet – claiming that the groups that attacked the lawmakers in Washington, D.C., were Black Lives Matter and Antifa protestors in disguise.
This comes after the horrific viral video that surfaced of freshman Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) harassing David Hogg, just weeks after he survived the Parkland shooting — a shooting that took the life of my younger sister, Carmen. In the video, Rep. Greene calls David Hogg a “coward” and aggressively berates him as he walks on the U.S. Capitol grounds to meet with legislators.
It’s clear this vitriolic attack is not an isolated event for Rep. Greene, John​​​​​​​. It is part of a pattern of years of abusive behavior against gun violence survivors like me and my family: She has used her platform to push vicious, baseless conspiracy theories that the Sandy Hook school shooting in 2012, the Las Vegas mass shooting in 2017, and even the Parkland shooting where my sister was killed in 2018 were staged.
I am still sickened thinking about that video and the fact that Rep. Greene has continued to harm people, so I’m personally asking for your help again, John​​​​​​​, to condemn Greene’s dangerous behavior — for my sister Carmen, for her 16 peers who were senselessly murdered in Parkland, for my family, and for families like mine.

Please join me in making clear that Rep. Greene’s violent rhetoric and direct connection to the violent January 6 attack on our lawmakers has no place in Congress.
