Hi there,

Deb Haaland would make history as the first-ever Native American Cabinet appointee -- and as Secretary of the Interior, no less.

Yet Republicans in oil states, like Senator Steve Daines of Montana, are threatening to block her confirmation -- because Haaland cares too much about the federal lands she would oversee. Daines said he's “not convinced that she can divorce herself from those radical views,” referring to Haaland's support of the Green New Deal and her opposition to drilling and fracking on public lands.

Protecting our natural resources and ensuring that the United States doesn't head towards climate catastrophe shouldn't be considered “radical.” But the GOP has made it clear they don't intend to confirm Haaland without a fight. While they drag on her hearing, we need to rally support. Please, tell us where you stand now:

Should Deb Haaland be confirmed?
