John,
I’ve gotten to know my colleague Jared Golden over the past several months since he was sworn in as representative for Maine’s 2nd district. It’s because of talented freshmen lawmakers like him that we’ve been able to accomplish so much this Congress -- like fighting to protect health care coverage for millions of Americans, working to end the culture of corruption in Washington, and so much more.
Jared’s seat is a toss-up and could decide if Democrats keep the House majority in 2020. He won his first race by just 1%, and the final results weren’t officially certified until December. Jared was able to flip this district because people like you were frustrated by politics as usual and stepped up to bring fresh leadership to Maine.
But Jared’s going to need you standing with him again if he’s going to win his first re-election campaign in 2020. Will you join me in supporting Jared by contributing to his very competitive campaign before this month’s critical FEC fundraising deadline? >>
Jared has been a leader in the fight to lower the cost of prescription drugs. He’s been focused on creating good-paying jobs for Mainers. And he helped Congress pass historic anti-corruption legislation to bring more accountability and transparency to our elections.
The bottom line is we need more people like Jared in Congress. I hope you’ll join me in supporting his competitive race by contributing $3 or more to his re-election campaign. >>
Thanks for standing with us,
Adam
