After years of waiting, Judge Merrick Garland finally got a Senate confirmation hearing -- this time as President Biden's nominee for attorney general.
And when he took the stand on Monday, he showed he was laser-focused on setting a new top priority for the Justice Department: weeding out far-right extremists after the Capitol insurrection.
“We begin with the people on the ground and we work our way up to those who are involved and further involved,” Garland said. “And we will pursue these leads wherever they take us.”
