John,
We have some exciting news to share today.
Governor Holcomb was just given the Champion of Public Broadcasting Award by America’s Public Television Stations (APTS)! Governor Holcomb has been laser-focused on expanding broadband access to all corners of Indiana –– but at the start of the pandemic, students couldn’t wait any longer for reliable internet at home.
They needed access right then and there. Without it, they would fall behind in school.
That’s why Governor Holcomb stepped in to invest in educational datacasting –– using existing infrastructure and resources found in Indiana’s many public TV stations to help bridge the learning gap for more than 84,000 Hoosier students. “Governor Holcomb has been an essential partner in helping Indiana public television stations rise to the challenge of educating Hoosier children during the coronavirus pandemic, and ensuring that standards-based, curriculum-aligned digital educational content will be available to all beyond this crisis." - Patrick Butler, president and CEO of APTS We’re proud of how Eric has led through some of the most challenging times Indiana has ever faced and we look forward to making Indiana stronger than ever under his leadership.
Moving forward, Governor Holcomb has made it a priority to continue investing aggressively in public education, broadband access, and 21st century infrastructure development.
John, will you help us celebrate Eric’s leadership by taking a second to sign his card? Thank you for your support, -Holcomb Crew
